Tomorrow will be the closing chapter in this amazing trip. The CWT finals. The Big one.
In the womens finals, the heat is on for 3rd Place. Who will have the drive to get there? We will see.
First and second will be more than likely Natalia and Sara, as long as everything goes right for them on the day. Once thats done, its going to be the mens turn, starting with Johan shooting for 101m (fingers crossed for him) then Guillaume at 109 until Herbert at 114. Carlos and William T both going for 110m and Alexey for 111m.
Again, I am lucky enough to be coaching William T through out his performance. I cant wait.

William Winram
But, to fill you in on the last couple of days, you all know the results from the CNF finals, so I don’t need to go there again. A whole lot of us went to Rowdy Boys (Winter Haven) for dinner last night as it was William Winram’s last evening with us so we wanted to say good bye. Grant Graves turned up and presented him with his Silver Medal which allowed us to give him a good send off. Jana arrived a little after that and everyone there sung her happy birthday. So, that was the Canadian Team sorted for the night.
Today was the rest day between finals. There were a few people training, but mostly it was athletes who have finished already, getting in a few dives before its all over.
I ran a small training session with my LA crew (Ben, Carla and DeeDee) (I think I need a student in there with a first name starting with the letter A) where we did some eq practice and some shallow drops on the line. I think they enjoyed themselves. I know I did, since I was bossing people about. I am pretty good at that you know.
After that I raced back to the apartment for a quick bite and some fluid before taking the Swedish guys out to a spot for some spearfishing. They have not done it before, so it was a good time showing them how. I put them on a few fish, but they kept scaring them away. But, they all had such big grins, it was well worth it. I shot a couple of nice sized Bar Jacks which we had raw tonight as sashimi (Raw fish / Soy Sauce / Wassabi). Christian was well impressed with my ability to shoot fast swimming fish with the Hawaiian sling.
Christian and I also found a massive mutton snapper which I estimate was around 10kg’s in size. I tried to get a shot at it, but its that big for a reason, was very sneaky and we ended up giving up.
The final thing for tonight was Johan and I went to the Blue hole for a swim @ 10pm. Its a full moon and to dive down under the water and look up at the moon is just an amazing, incredible thing. Its scary too, but well worth getting over the fear to see it. I can not begin to describe what its like to dive at night and see the moon from below the surface. If you have ever done it, you know what I am talking about. It was one of those once in a lifetime things that you really must do. I wish I had a camera, but I feel the exposure would be too long and it would not come out right. Maybe next time, I will try with a video.
So, now I will have a shower and head to bed. Tomorrow is the battle of the depths and the final chapter in this amazing journey.
